The book is being bought and getting some good reviews (100% so far) … But is it being bought for the right reasons? The photos tell their own story. I was so proud to learn that my son had bought a book - it turned out he needed something to level his desk! My fault, I didn’t tell him it wasn’t a picture book. Another buyer has bought the book as he ran out of firelighters and toilet paper. He was so pleased when the leaves were large size. And a third buyer - he appears to be racing snails across the cover of the book! Still, there are those who are more appreciative: “A Really Enjoyable and Engaging Read” Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 September 2024 “Entertaining, witty and informative from cover to cover.” Snails around France is available in all reputable bookshops … and one or two that are rather more questionable. If you want a copy there are no excuses. If you don’t want a copy there are no excuses.
